The WiiLoaded PSN Game Sharing Thread

INSTRUCTIONS/FAQ ON GAME SHARING
============================================================

For the "sender":

1. Purchase and download a game from the Playstation Store
2. Go to account management for the account and delete the billing information from your personal information if the PS3 saved your credit card info
3. Change your password temporarily for the share
4. Give login info (email address and password) to the receiver
5. When the share is completed, change the password


For the "receiver":

1. In the PS3 XMB menu, add a new user account on your PS3 and sign in to it
2. Select the network on the XMB and create an existing Playstation Network account
3. Use the login information given from the "sender" to create the existing account
4. Login into the account
5. Enter into the Playstation store
6. Click on "Download List" on the upper right near the person's userID and select the game you wish to download and hit download
7. After game is downloaded, notify the "sender" that the download is complete so they can change the password to the account
8. Enjoy!

Frequently Asked Questions
===============================

Q: Does each game have 5 shares?

A: Yes and No.  The 5 shares aren't per game but instead there are 5 activations allowed.  You of course take one of the activations so you can share with 4 more people.


Q: So what happens if I've shared with 4 more people?

A: Once you've shared an account with 4 other people you can't share with anyone else from that account.


Q: Is it possible to share with more than 4 people?

A: Again, yes and no.  You can only share a single account with 4 people but you can make another account that can also be shared with 4 people and so on.


Q: Can all PSN games be shared?

A: No.  Games that are also available on blu ray can NOT be shared.  If you share Warhawk for example then only one account can play online at a time.


Q: Are PSN Games region locked?

A: No, PSN Games are not region locked but the addons for PSN games must come from the same store.  If you have PAIN from the U.S. PSN then you must get the extra characters from that store as well.


Q: Are Demos region locked?  Also, is it possible to get demos from PSN stores from other countries?

A:  No, demos are not region locked.  Yes, you can get demos from other PSN stores by making another account for that particular country.  You can normally just google for an address for that location.


Q: Who should I share with?

A: I recommend only sharing with people you know or trust.  It's very easy to lie and deceive people online so choose wisely who you share with.

I want PixelJunk Monsters, I just downloaded the demo last night

Yeah, it's pretty sweet. I was surprised by how good it was and it looks especially good if you play it on your HD TV! I guess since no one else is jumping on the trade bandwagon just yet I'll go ahead and let you get it without trading to see how it works. I haven't setup a separate account yet so I'll have to change the password on my normal account and I'll PM you the details so you can download it. It's after midnight here so I'll do it first thing in the morning before I go to work.

I really like PixelJunk Monsters but I find myself trying to get a perfect score everytime and it gets frustrating

Yeah, when you try for all rainbows it could drive you insane. I hate feeling the vibration when a monster gets through and hits the house.

Really? I thought it was out there? I picked up 3 because I like rumble and I like that it's heavier. I find the six-axis that comes with the PS3 too light. So did you get all the rainbow?

I did in one of the areas I was having an issue with, but the one easy area where they go up the one path disappear and do a U turn into the other area...I always loose 1.

Take a break from it and then come back to it. I find that when I'm stuck on a game I just take a break and normally when I come back I can pass without difficulty. I remember playing GH III on medium with the controller and Slash owned me in the battle about 10 times in a row. I quit for the day and the next day I beat him easily on the first try. Sometimes you're in a "bad gaming funk" and need a break to shake it off. I'm sure you'll get it. I think tomorrow I'll be picking up one more of the cards, which will allow me to get another game to share. I'm not sure which one right now.

On another note a friend of mine who owns a game shop that I had interviewed for WiiLoaded told me something very interesting. I'm not sure exactly how it works but he said if I bring my PS3 to his shop I can buy (pay him with cash) the games from the Hong Kong PSN store and he can install them directly onto my PS3. Now I'm not sure exactly how that works or if those games could even be shared but I'll let you know. I'm having doubts about those games being shared though. I'm thinking he bought them perhaps and will share them with others for a fee but I don't see how he can do that if there is a limit. Maybe he knows something I don't. I'll drop in tomorrow to ask him how it works and let you know.

Update on possible new games that I can share soon. I just saw on a Thai website a game shop that is supposedly selling cards (5,000 yen) for the Japan PSN stores. They seem to have the best stuff available so I'm definitely going to check this out. I'll have to create another account for the Japan store to see what all they have, if it's possible to play the games in English, and a couple of other things and I'll reply back later when I know more.

I just finished a trade with Captain Falcon and everything went smoothly.

Remember if any of you want to trade anything or are looking for anything then tell me and I can add your name to the list of what you have and what you are looking for.

Ok guys. I've updated the top list with a small FAQ and if anyone can think of some other questions or has other questions then just let me know. I've also updated which games I have as well.

I still have one more slot open to trade with someone and I also have Tekken 2 now to trade with someone new or someone who I have previously traded with as it does NOT count as another trade. Just let me know if anyone is interested.

Ok, so I got a card in my PS3 bundle for a free download of the game pain.  Did that, but when I boot it up some of the crap is locked.  Did I get the full version and I need to unlock stuff or is it a gimped free download?

Also, my birthday is coming up and I would accept gifts in the form of downloaded games.  lol

If somethings are locked, you might have to play through part of the game an unlock things...I don't have Pain, but it's just a thought.
