This service could be great. It could be Nintendo's verison of Live. Quit complaining about stuff you have no idea about. What will it cost? How much will it cost? What does it have to offer. None of you know and yet you're already shooting it down without giving it the slightest chance.

From an American gamer....

Our service will be more expensive and we'll get it several months later here in PAL.

ill only pay for it if it has voice chat and no friend codes. all i ask for

What are you talking about? Where in there did I distinguish between America and any other country?

You're defending it, fair enough, but you're an American gamer and the PAL end of the stick will be much much worse.

I still don't see how by defending it I'm distinguishing from America and PAL.

You're not, I am.

Now I'm confused. What are we even discussing here? The fact that the PAL version of this, whatever it is, will be more expensive and crappier? how do you know that?

I never said crappier. I said more expensive.

Say a VC game. NES - $5 which is around £2.50 but we pay £5 which is $10. Double. What we pay for a NES is what you pay for a N64. All the hardware and software costs more too. It's a given that this'll be more.

in other words.. NTSC>PAL. according to Nintendo anyways
Well, I may not know what is going to become of this "Pay and play" service. But considering how n00b to online Nintendo is I can only assume its going to suck.

Unless they can give us something somewhat close to XBox Live's supremecy then I wouldn't pay Nintendo for their terrible online if they begged me.

EDIT: Nintendo may think NTSC > PAL... but they don't know crap, so its okay.

O PLEASE.

If they Make it Wii LIVE.

Then I will buy it. If not. then. "Boo you whore."

agreed. The fact they announce this before Mario Kart Wii's release in two months, makes me uneasy.

Quality wise, of course. 60Hz standard.

I didn't think of that. Wouldn't that be a slap in the face, but I can't imagine Nintendo would be that money hungry.

No, they won't do it. It'd scare away their precious "casual" crowd. Casual gamers aren't going to pay for online.
Well that's where the yet-to-be disenfranchised hardcore crowd comes in.
Starfox Wii;

Free online leader boards
£5 a month to play the online matches to get you in the leader boards!

That would be the biggest slap in the fact ever.

Nintendo, turn around and go away and come back once you figured things out.

I hope they wouldn't and that makes sense.

Hopefully it isn't coming soon, and will be delayed a lot. XD
MKWii?
