"I've got one!"
"Ok, I've got two."
"I still don't have anyone."
"Second one!"
"Wait, where'd everyone go?"
"I GOT THREE! No wait, never mind."

I think he's talking about the pay to play feature. Toungue

oh. i never know what ppl are talking about.

If we are all going to have to pay for online services, many features must be implemented. Voice chats, no friend codes, downloadable content...

I don't get why they would add online material AFTER the release of Brawl. It will be the most played online Wii game easily and no such service is offered for it? BS.
I think it's safe to say that Nintendo has flubbed online gaming for this console generation as well.

Better luck next time?

Starfox Wii;

Free online leader boards
£5 a month to play the online matches to get you in the leader boards!

That would be the biggest slap in the fact ever.

Nintendo, turn around and go away and come back once you figured things out.

You cannot be serious...

bad thing about all that is that most ppl probably wouldnt think of paying vcause of it being free for so long and ppl just stick to regular gameplay

Reread then rethink post.

Noooooooooo!!! Before I pay, they need to come up with decent online play.
i think that there going to make the wi-fi better and then they will put a price on it because the wi-fi sucks right now
could be worth it who knows, i for one dont want it to be xbox live-ish, that doesnt appeal to me at all...if i did i would buy a 360

i assume this service will be unique and different...fingers crossed

What?! You don't want a overall more superior, enjoyable service?!

Free demos released, dlc, great online, pretty much every title online...etc.

enjoyable/superior for you, not my thing

What's better about Nintendos online service?

we dont know anything about this 'pay to play' except for speculation, so we gotta wait and see...as of right now it doesnt exist so it cant be superior or inferior to anything

It has been confirmed therefore currently a rubber duck is superior.

confirmation of a service is not the same as execution of service, details are sketchy, we will have to wait and see
If we've learned anything from Nintendo's approach to Brawl, it will be:

Non-competitive.

Impersonal and kid-friendly, IE
Totally lacking any manner of communication.
No way to distinguish one person from another.

Game type restrictive.

Yay!
But it will still be an amazingly awesome game.

You know, when I think about it, I don't even really like online play that much. I personally like to WIN games, even if the computer is set on easy. I'm not trying to be a national champion at Guitar Hero. I just enjoy playing the game. I don't like stressing myself out trying to win, also because I have a tendency to scream at games if they frustrate me. (You do too, tough guy, don't deny it)
In that sense, I'm the perfect Nintendo Customer. I don't rush through games to see the ending. I beat one Zelda game, I beat one Dragon Quest game. I beat maybe 5 of the 25 games I own for the Gamecube (not including Animal Crossing) I play games to play them. I have fun, which is what games are supposed to be for.
(That, I'm such an OCD, completionist player, I have to beat EVERYTHING in a games before finishing. The reason I haven't beaten No More Heroes yet. The Pizza Butt Finale mission is friggin' hard.)
