this game is too balanced for that. Bad is right, if peopel continue to listen to the mindless babbles of who is stronger then the other... tiers will return. tournament will be full of MK and toon link match ups [expect for Ike and Peach]
but like i said, i doubt tiers will be if anything effective as they were in melee.
ROB and Olimar are better then I wouldve ever imagined. Snake rapes on so many levels its damn near unfair. Sonic's speed is his best attribute and they kinda implement that well.
as far as everyone complaining on who made it and didnt. just be sure that if they do intend on making another SSB4 it will be bigger hopefullly and they take the garbage off [ im looking at you MASTERPIECES] and the character selection will be a lot more to choose from.
Yeah mos def. Sonic and Snake should join the smash family. At least 3 new 3rd party in the next one. The reaction of 3rd party characters in the game was really positive. Maybe Megaman would finally join. If not him at least Viewtiful joe , or anybody famous would do. Hey it worked for snake. lol
The third parties who truly deserve to be there? Megaman and the Belmonts. Those two franchises helped define the NES and made strong showings on the SNES.
Hell, they even had a presence on the GBA/DS. Pretty disappointing, huh? Maybe those two teams were too proud to approach Nintendo and beg for a spot (unlike Kojima and Sega).

Lucario and Mewtwo both have/had unique move sets, there us no reason why they couldn't both be in the same game.
You'll still see people who stick with characters that are perceived as powerful, though.
I like DDD because he's cool, I also like lucas and Zamus who aren't exactly powerhouses. I see a lot of Ikes when online though...

At least ridley made it in as a boss. Most people have wanted Sonic in since the original.He deserves to get in. Im sure ridley will be in the next one....that is if he is again a boss in the next SSE....

i think Pokemon trainer should have been an assist trophy. you could always freeze the game for 3-5 sec in order to chose your pokemon. It would have been cool to have a larger selection..
As for dropping characters for Smash 4, I think they should.
why would you want characters dropped. it's statements like this that created mass hysteria over who will and won't return. If a character made the roster, then that means ppl wanted them, so let it be.
And the fact that I don't like the idea of a general enemy like ROB being playable in a game like Smash. But whatev, he'll probably be dropped from Smash 4 *crosses fingers*
imo there should be no cut's for SSB 4. R.O.B. has proved itself to be a good character.

Because if you had Mewtwo AND Lucario AND PKMN Trainer combined with Pikachu and Jigglypuff = Pokemon overkill.

EDIT: Toon Link will probably be high tier at the very least. But is a candidate for top tier depending on his other high level competitors go in tournament results. Will be interesting to observe.

1) Mewtwo deserves the spot, Lucario doesn't. He's had one movie, and it was CRAP. All of his moves are clones of Mewtwo's moves. Make Mewtwo a bit heavier, and put him back in.
2) Sure he's fast but c'mon, all of his moves are exactly the same. You can leave him in, but at least make Ridley a higher priority. We need more Metroid rep.
