As LMX has pointed out many times, Bowser was resized. If you look at him in the game, he's huge. In Smash Bros he was made smaller. The same could be done with Ridley. The Hunters have been in one game with a crappy 1 player mode, while Ridley has been in nearly every Metroid to date.

1) Mewtwo deserves the spot, Lucario doesn't. He's had one movie, and it was CRAP. All of his moves are clones of Mewtwo's moves. Make Mewtwo a bit heavier, and put him back in.

Mewtwo and Lucario both had movies, that's not the reason they were let into the Smash series. Mewtwo was a popular pokemon in its time and was recognized by nearly everyone. Mewtwo's time has passed, although I believe he should have returned. Lucario basically has the same status today that Mewtwo had. Lucario has signature moves, a unique pokemon type combo, and represents the newer generation of pokemon. Lucario is harldy a clone of Mewtwo. Aura Shpere in Shadow Ball are similiar but so is Samus' charged shot to those moves. Lucario's Fsmash is the same, but everything else about it is completely unique. A special and smash move in common doesn't count as a clone if it's the only thing they have in common.

So he isn't a complete clone of Mewtwo. His up B is practically the same, with fast movement replacing teleportation. His B is exactly the same. His down B is a counter, already used by all the FE characters. The one move he can call his own is force palm. Overall, I would rather be using a revamped Mewtwo. He had an interesting back story, a cool character, and was one of the sweetest pokemon villains.

Just my opinion though.
Anyone who suggests the Hunters over Ridley = fail.

Although Slater, there's no point arguing resizing Ridley. For some reason people aren't smart enough to understand it. Save your breath and understand Smash will never be that good I suppose is the best advice I can give as a fellow Ridley fan.

As for dropping characters for Smash 4, I think they should.

why would you want characters dropped. it's statements like this that created mass hysteria over who will and won't return. If a character made the roster, then that means ppl wanted them, so let it be.

And the fact that I don't like the idea of a general enemy like ROB being playable in a game like Smash. But whatev, he'll probably be dropped from Smash 4 *crosses fingers*

imo there should be no cut's for SSB 4. R.O.B. has proved itself to be a good character.

*brans Pokémaniac on face*

*brans Toon Link ftl on cloud's face*

*brands no one was talking to you on your face ftw*

Anyway, Toon Link FOR TOP TEIR! Big Grin.

*brans it's forum, your talking to everybody, and is tired of saying it*

No More Tiers!

*brands was talking to WR, too bad so sad*

You can't fight the teirs. Toon shall be top teir. or high.

Tiers?

Because if you had Mewtwo AND Lucario AND PKMN Trainer combined with Pikachu and Jigglypuff = Pokemon overkill.

Quite clearly, and don't go all Pokemaniac on me about its sales blah blah blah. That's why I'm fine with it having four reps. That IS alot of representation.

oh no, 5 pokemon characters, the game is ruined. ah no sorry. it's just fine and so will be the others. and don't even try to give me that PKMN Trainer is 3 characters. you can't use them individually for a whole match. you have to change between them, each having there flaws all equally one united character.

@ SlaterSharp: if your looking at movies for to argue about Mewtwo's/Luacrio's placement, then let me tell you now as a Poke fanboy, the movies suck. W_R pretty much explained everything i have to say. Mewtwo and Luacrio aren't clones and with a growing roster, your bound to run into similar moves between characters.

I'm not going to give you the PKMN Trainer is 3 characters stuff.
4 characters is enough Pokmeon rep.

A list that places characters in order from best to worst decided by tournament results. It is not a list designed to tell you who to play and who not to play. It is a list designed to show you, based on results, what characters perform best when used at high level play.

Brawl's characters may be more balanced than Melee but they still aren't 100% balanced. So there WILL be a tier list. We just need a few months to get through a decent amount of tournaments and see how they go.

Its kinda hard to have a tier list already if we haven't completely ironed out the rules for tournament play (At least they haven't in Australia yet, not sure about America).

oic so who were the top in Melee? I am assuming Link and Fox are up there. Not sure it Link will play out now. I agree more time is needed. Maybe I just need to have the patience like I did for Melee. After awhile, my Link was faster than most fox players I challenged. i could actually beat them to nearly every first strike!

you get the dang game yet lemon?!
Link was low tier.

Top was: Fox, Falco. Just below them were: Marth, Peach, Sheik, and so on.

My copy of the game is due to around mid next week-ish. Just sent out my order for a Freeloader to OzModChips and Brawl to Play-Asia.
yea, tiers will continue to exist.

im just hoping that enough people play good with diddy kong and put him higher up on the tier list due to good placing in tourneys. olimar too.

then again, maybe i dont want them to be high tier. cuz then that way, a lot of people will start to pick up my chars just cuz they're high tier...
even if diddy wasn't top teir, its always good to pwn people with a low or mid teir character.
yea lol. that shows who has true skill Toungue

and u get to brag after winning with a mid tier over a high tier (unless the person u r playing is really good w/ their char. they'd probably beat u... unless u got godly skillz w/ ur char Toungue)

Final Smash: Tera-Ridley.... would be sweet..

Give the six-million dollar bird a rest already.
Link was low tier?! I owned everyone with link!
Badwrong. Why is it such a big thing that Ridley is defeated every game and always returns when the same s*** happens to Bowser AND Ganondorf. Just face it, he's their equivalent in Metroid and therefore doesn't need a rest.

So hush now.

And yeah, Link was low tier. But he wasn't lowest. He was above the likes of Bowser, Pichu, Mewtwo, Game and Watch, Young Link, Ness, ect.

Oh. I'm sorry Holly, should I change it to really well done?

You can use whatever extremity you want to describe it, I just think "rape" is kinda uncalled for. Would you use the word lynch instead of rape? I bet not.

Why do you take everything so damn seriously?

If you say I can say whatever I want to describe it I will.

My definition of rape = Very Good. not man on woman rape just really well done.

Why would anyone say. "Oh Ike's side B lynches!" but anyway I shall continue to say rape.
Rape in gaming terms means to be owned and only able to give minor resistance or to be dominated, crushed, smashed! I guess some people would be offended by that on the Nintendo network, with 360 and PS3 it goes hand in hand. Maybe I'll change my spelling to Raype..
on Halo I usually say "get bent" lol
