Poet, you left out Viva Pinata and Culcept Saga!
Yeah, Viva Pinata is not a run-n-gun action title, or a tactical battle game or a flight sim, but its graphics are impressive, the open-endedness of the game is awesome, and the concept is both new AND innovative.
This is a game I plan on owning.
As for Culdcept, the original on PS2 was one of my favorite titles for the system. I'm thrilled that they're brining a souped-up version ot the 360 (no doubt with online play, additional cards to download, tournaments, etc.)

I forgot to mention that the lead game designer for Gears of War, Cliffy B, is an associate of mine (I won't call him "friend" as we weren't that close) from high school. Yup, that's right. He even dated my xgf back in the day. We were in the Drama Club together and everything. Too weird huh?
Those of you with the xbox 360 can download E3 behind the scenes and catch a short interview of his.

the demo is sweet, but based on this new trailer from the Leipzig Games Convention, it looks like it's been polished up a whole lot.
i had abso-f'in-lutely no idea this game was also gonna have some sort of online multiplayer on it!
score another for capcom! ^_^

I played the dmeo of it. The alien fighting level was great, but the soldier fighting level could have been better.

and some more new info about lost planet's multiplayer:
Quote:
The multiplayer mode shown here in Leipzig consists of 4 players duking it out with another 4 players, the full version will support up to 16 players in one match, or that?s the target at least. The 2 big modes in Multiplayer will be a survival mode and a CTF type mode. Unfortunately Co-op was something that didn?t make it into the game due to time constraints. Takeuchi and the fans really wanted it, but there simply wasn?t enough time.
...
The full game will contain more than just snow levels, there are going to be other extreme conditions as well including extreme hotness.
Capcom is aiming for a release in January 2007 for Lost Planet which is an Xbox 360 exclusive at the moment.
