Have you ever heard of a young angel that goes by the name Pit? Back in the 8-bit era Pit starred in his own game
'Kid Icarus' on the Nintendo Entertainment System. Ever since the day that game was released, Nintendo fanboys have been foaming at the mouth for a console sequel. Now over 16 years later, Pit could soon be spreading his wings on the Wii!
Already rumors have been flying around the Internet that Pit is set to make an epic return on the Nintendo Wii. One earlier rumor claimed that the developers at
Factor 5 will be bringing this game back to life. Now another rumor has surfaced! In IGN's latest podcast, Matt Casamassina blatantly hinted that Reggie's big suprise at E3 is non-other than a Wii Kid Icarus game. Feast your eyes on these two interesting quotes:
"Could be Kid Icarus,"
"We've already chatted about that -- don't know if it's going to be that. We do know that that game exists."
It appears that Matt is referring to IGN's earlier podcast in which he claimed that Kid Icarus would
"absolutely" be on Wii by the end of 2008. At this point I really wouldn't be shocked if Nintendo, or another developer, officially announced that a Kid Icarus sequel is in development.
But there is one question I must ask...Would you buy it?

Hmmm...looks like Reggie could have been found out already then. Hopefully, because I'd love a Kid Icarus game to be released on the Wii, and I know it will wow fans at E3 easily. Maybe this mystery game won't be so lame after all?

I also hope that the surprise is that there is two surprises...one is that there is another surprise totally three surprises. Star Fox beng made by Factor 5, Kid Icarus being made by Nintendo and that nintendo have decided to love PAL
If Factor 5 made the next Star Fox, that would be so awesome! Provided of course that they don't mess up the controls like they did with Lair.
Kid Icarus Wii FTW! This franchise needs to be revived. If it can happen to Metroid, it can happen to KI

Considering how great Super Metroid was people were foaming at the mouth when there wasn't a Metroid game on the N64. And then Nintendo did an awesome job with the Prime series.
I'm in the same boat on not really knowing much about Pit or Kid Icarus before Brawl. But after playing a bit of KI it's really a lot of fun and I'm sure Nintendo will find a way to bring the series into the 3D generation considering how well they've done with Mario, Zelda, and Metroid now.
i would def check out a kid icarus game..
i also think that you could make a game featuring any SSBB character and a lot of ppl would buy it.
