With all the new footage of Okami for Wii being released by IGN, will anyone be picking up this game?

I know I sure will. Personally this, along with Psychonauts and NMH, are games that deserve so much more than they received. Why can't we recognize great games when we see them? Why does everyone only rely on proven franchises? How come we can't support new IPs?
I wll b buyin it wne i get maself a wii
Oh for me this game is a definant buy, but not until I have enough funds to buy the game.

I love the sytle of the game and it looks flat-out AMAZING

too bad it wasent rlly look at too much for the Ps2 :l
Capcom mentioned they had some surprises in store for us later this year so I'm interested to see what else they have since they proudly claim to be one of the best sales among third parties for Wii. I may be pick up Okami though.
I will probably being buying it.
I missed this one on the PS2, so yeah, I'll probably be buying it.
I think I'll buy it. It sounds pretty good.

Surprises you say?? ?

RE5..I KNOW IT!

they would make a killing if Re5 on the wii was exclusive >_>

Well technically RE5 was supposed to be a Wii exclusive until Capcom decided to release RE4 on the GCN and the PS2.

Looks like a great game. I just hope it sells better than NMH another great game which isn't and won't sell well. Do we have to port great games to the next system before they get decent sales?
Definitely getting this one. And everybody do yourselves and Wii a favor. When you go to pick up Okami, get No More Heroes as well.
What Kindrik said: Buy NMH and Okami!
BTW Rooster, about your sig. Okami isn't really a new IP is it?

You know what? On second thoughts, I can't find a solid release date for Europe, and I can't be bothered with the hassle of importing it, so I'm just gonna get the PS2 version seeing as there will be no new additions.

considering the way it sold I'd say it's a very new IP. It was the first (and currently only) in its series wasn't it?

Yep. They'd probably make more if the game sold well. That's why capcom is porting this game to the Wii. It is a really good game(PS2 owner), and I hope this game doesn't get underlooked as much as it did the first time.

i played it a bit back at school, my friend had it so i'd mooch off of him...i loved it, and with the wii i can only imagine how much further it can go. it's on my list of games to get, which is getting pretty long now ):

Yeah, it sold pretty badly in Japan (66K) and fairly good NA sales couldn't help enough (200K) and unfortunately brought Clover Studios down with it.

I think there are few things other than graphics and controls. But after the video Kindy showed me, I'm buying it.
Clicky

That video is from the PS2 version in its original form before they changed the art. It isn't the difference between the PS2 and Wii versions...
Yeah, I thought you knew that...
