First Screenshots of Sonic Unleashed leaked?!

As some of you may know Sega has released a new patent on the name Sonic Unleashed. You know the situation. Sega leaks some new screenshots of the next sonic game and  immediately takes them down. We still don't have any verification if these screenshots are real or not. Either way in my opinion these screenshots are too real to be fake. I doubt some guy in his basement would go to all that trouble to make all these screenshots just to tease us. As for which platform this game is going to be on, it is still unknown. Some say the Nintendo Wii because the gameplay is somewhat strikingly similar to Sonic and the Secret Rings. Others say PS3 or Xbox 360 since these pics are taken in 720p and the Wii can't pump out that kind of horsepower. Whatever the platform, this game looks like it's the one to give our lovable blue hedgehog the boost he's needed for a long time now.

I have to say that it actually looks....cool!

Thats what I said. The gameplay seems like a mix of Sonic and the secret rings, Sonic Rivals, and Sonic Rush all in one. When I saw the gameplay video...I wuz salivating from da mouth.Lolz.

They worked on the cutscenes but it will be another seven rings.

I'm not a Sonic fan at all, but this game actually looks quite good. Does anyone think that the gameplay video could be fake though? Although, it does look quite real.

There is a big discussion if it is real or not. Some say its real since anyone can use 3d modeling to create the levels but only sega can come up with a Sonic Model like that. Some say its fake since during the part where sonic blasts through the enemies, the enemies have no animations of them blowing up or flinching. Im gonna say its real since on GoNintendo.com a video of the gameplay footage was taken down as soon as it was put up.

Looks cool, if this is real then wicked. Might actually have to keep an eye on this game. XD

Maybe SEGA finally realized that you cant do a whole sonic game in 3D. XD Thats why they took the 2.5D approach.

As much as I'm sick of Sonic games, probably because most of them suck, this actually looks like alot of fun!

SEGA confirmed the game. It's gonna be multiplatform and apparently one of the leaked screenshots was meant for the cover of Official Nintendo Magazine in the UK so I guess that means a Wii version will be coming.

Yeah, I read about the game being confirmed, didn't know if those images were legit though. I'm almost 100% sure there's a Wii title in the mix, I think I saw something on that somewhere...

That looks really cool, I hope this game turns out good. Secret Rings was a pretty game, so Sega should be able to improve on that.

Yeah and the gameplay looks good also. Now we can just hope that they dont screw the 2.5D gameplay up. Im not expecting a Final Fantasy style story either.If they screw up the 2.5D gameplay then....its time for sonic to have an Intervention...-_-"

Lol. Yeah been a fan since the Mario vs Sonic wars. Super Mario galaxy managed to bring back some of the classic nostalgia that we enjoyed. Hopefully this game will at least make an attempt to try that. Im just sick of people doggin on sonic. I really want this one to be great. Sonic does deserve it.
