bet rock band costs as much as the wii anyway, screw em...
upon further review i didnt realize you could buy everything separately (wonder if you already have a mic, can you use that?) this might make it easier if 2 or 3 friends buy it in pieces

Eh, it's very doubtful I will buy Rock Band on the Wii if there is no online play.
Judging by everyones reactions, the lack of online could really hurt the sales
As it was, I wasn't planning on buying it anyways at $160+. Getting a gimped version of it is just icing on the non-purchase cake.

Yeah definitely. I reckon most people are gonna buy it for either PS3 or 360 anyway since the version for Wii tends to lack the best part of playing the game. I'm guessing the graphics will be better on 360 and PS3 also, although I suppose that wouldn't matter too much as, same with Guitar Hero, it's generally just a few lines going across the screen with the different coloured buttons showing to press.
I can live without pretty graphics in a game like this, but no online modes is just not right...
hate to sound like a broken record, but april fools?
The possibility of this being a joke could be true
but I don't think harmonix would mess with us like that >_>
Who said it came from harmonix, if it was an april fools it could have come straight from miyamoto's mouth for all they care.
Miyamoto prolly dosent even know what rock band is >_>
its all up to the developers and what they think should happen.
THEY are making the game
No, what I mean is that if you were making an april fools report, you would obviously say it was coming from harmonix
Wow, they are sure going to blow it with no wi-fi.

well regardless its not online
seeing what IGN said there is absolutely no online
Meh... this is just another time that Nintendo failed short and disappointed its devoted followers. If they keep goin like this, no one cept Japan is gonna buy their next console....

I highly doubt that. The casual crowd probably don't care much for downloadable content and online modes. Even if Nintendo lost every fanboy follower they had, Nintendo would still have a massive fan base. Considering the casual audience is much larger than the hardcore fans.
IGN suggested this was a PS2 port of the game, so you can basically expect what's on that version to be on the Wii. It's hard for developers to get into creating great games for system's that they have produced better stuff on other consoles because they contain better hardware i.e. a hard-drive and high def graphics.
i didnt realize there was ps2 version of rock band
There must be one in the pipes?
Anyway, I'm not paying full price for half the game.
im not paying over $100 for ANY game, unless it comes with a woman
