The official Gran Turismo 5 Prologue soundtrack features a nice blend of indie dance rock, electronica, classic rock and brand new remixes from artists, such as Weezer, Mars Volta and DJ Shadow, and more. A brand new exclusive remix of Weezer's "Automatic" headlines the game's diverse soundtrack.

"The Gran Turismo 5 Prologue soundtrack gives fans the perfect audio accompaniment to high-octane racing from Daytona to Eiger Nordwand," said Jeff Reese, director, software marketing, SCEA. "The edgy variety of music complements the pure adrenaline rush fans experience as they eclipse 200 miles-per-hour in the most authentic driving simulator around."

Any of those tracks flip your switch?
Yeah, Weezer are playing Automatic.

Weezer = Best band in the world.
I've never heard the song Automatic by them, but I'm sure it's good.
Hey, I like Weezer too and they don't need GT5 to make them cool. Toungue Honestly they are the only band that I even know in that whole list...
I think they're good, but they've really never hit that Super Star status like so many pop princesses...

lol as you know the pic and the captions I put was a joke, but seriously, millions of people will be buying this game/demo so this might be a great way for them to go 'more'mainstream. It will be nice if in the future gamers will have the option to literally use either Home or PSN to buy an album from a group that's featured in a game.

mars volta. love those guys. the el-p remix is a bit iffy for racing games though.
If your wondering what Weezer-“Automatic” (LA Riots remix) and The Mars Volta-“Goliath” (EL-P remix) are going to sound like. Here's two short clips from GT5 Prolouge featuring both soundtracks.

Wow that really doesn't sound like something Rivers Cuomo would write...

truth

The other bands may be good but unfortunately over here you have to be cool by their standards (their referring to the deaf monkeys that pick what is played on the radio/tv here) so that's why I don't know most of these bands. I knew Weezer back when I was still in the states and from playing GH.
