A lot of criticism has been made towards the Wii lately; but fancy hearing some good news? The website VGChartz.com, which tracks the sales of video games, recently reported that a massive 22 Wii games have sold one million units or more worldwide.

The latest addition, for Wii, to the million sellers list is Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga. This also became the ninth third party game to hit the million mark for its sales.

It looks like these recent sales numbers have become perfect evidence to show that the Wii still remains successful, and not just a gimmick. This has also shrugged off any unnecessary criticism which has been aimed at the Wii, and has proved it has great selling potential. When comparing fellow next generation consoles the Xbox 360 now holds 35 million sellers 28 months after the consoles release, whilst the Playstation 3, since it's November 2006 release, only has 10 million. The Wii however, is clearly doing the best after recently reaching 22 million sellers after only being released nearly 16 months ago.

Wow...that's a lot of games sold! O.o'
*Everyone in the world looks up at the sky and starts clapping*

Wooo, Wii has the power! Nintendo Power! Well, Wii Power anyways...
Not long before it catches up to the 360. Nintendo still manages to  do something right every once and a while.
*walks in with boom box*

*sets boom box down*

*presses the play button*

We are the champions, my friends!
And we'll keep on fightin' 'til the end.
We are the champions, we are the champions
No time for losers, 'cause we are the champions
Of the World!

*presses the stop button*

*picks up boom box and leaves*

so 13 1st party million sellers, i think i bought most of em

That's a pretty impressive sounding stat. The Wii averages 1.375 games per month to sell over a million copies. I wonder how it compares to other systems in the past?
That's a pretty big feat. Sure most are 1st party games but still that's a lot of games. Hopefully that doesn't encourage third party publishers to give up on fighting against the 1st party games or make them port more or make even more party games just because they know they'll sell.
im impressed that it is that close to 50/50 between million selling 1st and 3rd party titles,

very encouraging
