Epic has just released a 160MB "Bonus Pack" of maps for Unreal Tournament 3 that brings some old faves back along with one new offering. The PC/PS3 update resurrects classics Morbias and Facing Worlds, and it introduces Searchlight (designed for Capture the Flag). Only three maps in all, it's not huge. But it's free on PC and PSN.
I remember loading Facing Worlds from the original UT on my first bohemeth 19-inch monitor and feeling dizzy as I looked to the Earth below, making my stomach churn. A few years of innovation later, my 46-inch HDTV should force an alien baby through my shirt.

Free is always good. I like seeing how Epic is really standing behind this game, first with the ability to Mod and now with these type of free downloads.
Like I've always said, user created content for free is great and you won't have a need to download packs for cost when you can get better free (UT3 Lego Town map anyone?). But facing worlds is a great map...I wouldn't mind having it back.

Small maps are hilarious for Unreal, however due to the updates in UT3 you tend to have larger maps which takes away from original unreal but on the whole it is great.
I've only played it a small number of times with a small number of mods but there is many.
The pic show in the original posts...I use to play that on my computer and loved it. So I'm sure I'd love UT3 also.

WTF? That map is my favorite too! We all like the same map!! I played all the other Unreal Tournaments but on the PC. I may pick this up but I might just play on the PC though. I'm still yet to get used to playing a FPS with dual Analogs. The sensitivity for the aim or the aiming for that part is just not as accurate as I'd like it to be.
