Anyone remember Project HAMMER? It was announced for the Wii a long while back. Many were excited about it as it seemed like it was going to turn out to be a great title; just what the Wii needed.
Well recently, a member on the website Infendo, pointed out that the once alive title could still make its way into the gaming world. Project HAMMER has recently found its way on to Gamestop's website again; and even has a release date for next year, 2nd January 2009. The game is also priced at $49.99. Nothing has yet been confirmed, but this doesn't kill the chances of Project HAMMER returning from the dead does it?
The game had reportedly been killed off by Nintendo last year, but could the response of the gamers community have changed Nintendo's mind about killing the game after all? Or could this just be a genuine mistake made by Gamestop?

Well, this would be cool. I thought that game looked good from what had been shown.
Please let this be true. Could this be the surprise reggie was talking about?
I vaguely remember this. Just kidding, I think everyone remembers this but have just given up hope for it. I'm gonna pretend that it's been canceled and that way I can be pleasantly surprised if it does come out but won't be too disappointed if it doesn't.
Good idea Mana, but I really hope this isn't a mistake because it would be great if this game really was released. I don't see why Nintendo put it in the dark in the first place because, if released, it would be one of there few brilliant games.
All we have seen is some gameplay footage of a guy walking round smashing people with a giant hammer; it seemed too repetitive and didn't really appeal to me much. Nintendo most likely dropped it because it sucked, or because they were concentrating on the Wii casual crowd. Which was a pretty smart business move. I would like to see this game released, just to see if it was half decent.
Well I think that video was just to see what it would look like. If they resumed making this game, it will probably be a lot more evolved.
I agree with ZeldaFan, what we saw in the very early stages of devlopment of what the game would be about, but there could be depth too it. I wonder when Nintendo will mention DoC again.
Yeah i hope this is true. The game looked pretty awesome.
Wow. I hope this turns out to be true. The game looked awesome when it was shown, and I was upset when they canceled it.
I also wanna know about Disaster: Day of Crisis, and how it's coming along.
Please let this be true. Could this be the surprise reggie was talking about?
If this were a "surprise" then I would personally castrate Reggie with a grapefruit spoon. Not anything against the game, but canceling a game and then saying "oh, by the way, PSYCH!" is not a surprise. It's just stupid.
