Any1 read the full book by J.R.R. Tolkien? It is a pretty great book. Loved reading it. I didnt understand some parts but i understood most of it. Very great book.

Legolas is not the coolest character lol. Its Aragorn or Boromir, maybe Gandalf.

Sauron is incredibly cool. So are the Nazguls. They have no depth but are still "cool". But for a char with depthy coolness, I'd say Boromir.
I hate Boromir. If it wasnt for him maybe they whould have spared Frodos finger and many many lives. Well actually in the book Legolas isnt the coolest but Treebeard is the coolest. In the movies Legolas is the best. All the stunts are cool. Well there are only 2 stunts.
LOTR is only like the greatest book trilogy ever and tied with StarWars as being the greatest movie trilogy ever also
I have all the paperback books, although I've never finished reading every single on of them. After I finished the Hobbit, I started reading Fellowship, during which I got bored because I knew pretty much what was happening. Haven't picked it up in a while, but plan on finishing at least Fellowship by the end of the year.

How can you hate Boromir? He was a character with depth. Without him I could have seen Fellowship being a boring book, and it was for the first half anyway. Boromir was amazing, and it sucked he had to meet such a tragic fate, should of swapped places with Legolas, he didn't do much anyway.

Sauron and the Nazguls were very awesome, I also believe Saruman is worth a mention.

LOTR are some of my all time favorite books, I actually got into forum sites through LOTR (I played the Strategy Battle Game). What can I say i'm a LOTR geek.
I make it a point to read the books about twice a year. And I always find some new wondrous detail of Tolkien's world. I still think Gandalf is the coolest character in the book.
I'm an Aragorn fan. And was a Boromir fan.
Aragorn rules, although Boromir was the strongest of the fellowship (phisically). Aragorn is super cool, plus he's like 60-80. Thats right, it's because of his heritage. He's an old cool dude...kinda like Gandalf.
