The guys over at High Voltage Software have been teasing about voice chat in online multiplayer matches in The Conduit for some time now but it's now official. The Conduit will support Nintendo's new WiiSpeak peripheral for voice chat in 16-player online multiplayer matches.

While we're certainly excited by this news it makes us wonder what games will start using WiiSpeak in the future and I'm there are those people who may be glad that it will be sold separately if they weren't quite sold on Animal Crossing.

This was a no brainer for HVS. I'm glad they're someone out there who understands the potential for the Wii and realize that Wii gamers want the same kinda treatment as the other platforms.

Wish they had voice chat in SSBB and MKW but I guess we'll have to settle for that fact that at least Nintendo is letting Voice Chat happen.
