It seems like Capcom may have started something with it's decision to go retro with Mega Man 9. First we get Chrono Trigger in all its SNES glory on DS and now Konami has decided to take the same approach with the latest entry into the Gradius Series for WiiWare.
While Gradius Rebirth may not be going as far back as Mega Man 9 to the 8-bit NES sprites, it certainly has that 90s arcade look to it. It still remains to be seen if Rebirth will be a new entry into the franchise or if it will be a remake of a previous Gradius game. For those of you who can't wait to get your Gradius fix, the NES original and SNES sequel, Gradius III are both available for download from the Wii Shop Channel.
