Well im thinking of returning my copy of Brawl and get a new one, cuz the one i have has some deep scratches (which i really don't know how they got there), and at random points during gameplay, it stops and the message appears: "Game Disc can't be read, please refer to the Wii Operations Manual."

So what im asking is if i get a new disc, will i stay with the same FC and will i still have everything i unlocked? or will i get a new Fc and will i have to play the game all over?

I had the same problem at one point.
I rented it, added a bunch of people, got every character (+stage) then returned it.
Then bought it.


All my friends were still there, my friend code was the same, and everything I unlocked was present.

If the disc can't be read, you need to send your Wii to Nintendo to clean your Wii. And you shouldn't have to get a new FC, since your game data is saved on your Wii keeping everything the same.

No, it DOES read it, but at random times it cant read it, so im guessing its those new scratches it has.

Yeah, it's not the same system as the DS which is really terrible but I guess there's no other way considering the DS has no internal memory to keep the codes.

All right!!!! I got the new copy and its working perfectly now!!!!
