Anyone else excited about this game? It's been getting great reviews and is a joint effort between Square-Enix and Jupiter. The game is already out in Europe and it comes out today in North America. Seriously, don't pass this game up.
I'll post screens and vids later.

Comes out Tuesday in the states, and it makes no difference to you you wonderful law abiding person.

And hell yeah I'm excited. The action of this game looks amazing to say the least. There are some very unique ideas going into the game like fashion and controlling action on both screens at once, but it still looks to be an amazing game. A lot of people have said the learning curve is pretty steep, but after tackling that it's not nearly as difficult to pull off the game's unique battle system in grand fashion. I'm picking this one up on launch day, something I haven't been able to do since Brawl and MP3 before that.
Yeah I heard a lot about this game. I really hope that it's decent. I'm going to be ordering it soon.
SquareEnix pulls something original out of their ass that doesn't contain "Final", "Fantasy", "VII", "XIII", "Kingdom", or "Hearts".

And it looks amazing.

I'm currently stuck and can't choose between this and MKWii.
I know the feeling. Several Wii and DS games to choose from including MKWii and Okami, but I'm going with The World Ends With You. Sure MKWii is good I'm sure, but it's MK again, and Okami has gotten loads of awards and outstanding reviews, but I've gone this long without playing, couple more weeks won't kill me. Point is, there just hasn't been enough new content in the world of gaming. After playing No More Heroes, I want to keep up the trend of new and unique gaming experiences which is hard to come across. WEWY however does do something new and does it well. I can't wait for it.
By the looks of it, it doesn't look like something I need immediatly since not that many people know about it. And the gameplay looks weird. I could get..but I could wait.
Very interesting.

ZOMG! Videos! I love the music in this game.
For starters you should probably check out the official site (http://www.theworldendswithyou.com) for details and step by step videos on the combat system which is actually pretty complex.

Ok, so a lot of people I'm sure are intimidated by the duel screen combat system, so I'll clear things up just a bit.

Yes, both screens have action going at the same time, and yes you control both characters at once, sorta. Jupiter added an a system which automatically takes over control of the top screen character if you stop controlling him/her for 6, 3 or 0 sec (soon as the battle starts) so you don't necessarily have to control both characters, just the bottom. However, to pull off the team up attacks, you'll have to take control because the computer isn't smart enough to do it. The computer isn't so smart when it comes to dodging either, so you may want to keep the difficulty down a bit so the top character doesn't die on you. Secondly, the combat is based around an "energy puck" which bounces between the two characters. The one in possession of the puck gets a bonus damage increase. So it's easier for you to perform attacks with one character to bounce the puck, then attack with the other.

The learning curve is still high, but this game is still incredible. I'm a bit worried though. The game supposedly lasts 7 days and I'm already on day 3 with about two hours of gameplay. Hopefully I won't beat the game in a few hours, but with it being SquareEnix, I highly doubt that.
From what I've heard there are multiple in-game weeks to the game so it's longer than you think. It's supposed to be a super long game.
I don't how this game flew by under my radar. Def. getting this soon.
I hope they make you play the game through each team's point of view through out the week.
...never seen, OR heard of it. But, then again, I don't see or hear much of anything these days.
Well you've heard of it now so you have no excuse to not buy it. ^_^
The game will probaly be pretty short.

Could pick up for b-day

So no, it probably won't be pretty short. Like I said, knowing SquareEnix, it's highly unlikely it'll be short and Kindrik's statement enforces that, and if there was any problem with the game including it being short reviewers would've knocked points off from the score, but since it's been getting high marks I don't see that case.

Yea I think it will be like beacuse of SE, but won't be long because its a DS game.

Name Change/Me being a nubble cake in 2006
It's a Wonderful World is the title of the game in Japan after translation. When the ported it the new name of The World Ends With You was given to it.
The title had to be changed because of copyright issues.
And why would the length of the game be determined by the system it's on?
