i noticed my blocks of memory are dwindling and anticipate needing to buy an sd card and transfer some vc games to it to make room.

has anyone done this?

how easy is it?

how long does it take? to pull from wii to card? to pull from card to wii?

anyone experience any glitches before, during, or after transfers?
I will be looking into how to do this soon. I've got it on my mental to do list.
It's easy, doesn't take long, and I haven't had any problems. If you do, you can always re-download th game for free. I just wish they'd enable playing the game off your cards.
It's a simple process but the game can only be used on your console.

I always use my SD card for the binary save files of Wii Games to transfer to pc.
Everything's backed up on my SD, and it was pretty easy to do so (it was also faster than I thought it would be), but it's a hassle to get on the VC games you want, put back the one you don't want, make sure that the game's channel is there, etc., etc.

The only "problem" I've had is that when I transfer the games from the Wii to my SD card, I get a message saying that not all of the data could be transferred, but that could be so you don't go and give the game to your friend (or whatever).
You can't transfer certain game saves to an SD card, probably to prevent corruption or people sharing the saves online. The game saves I've found to not allow transfer to an SD card include Mario Kart, Smash Bros., Metal Slug and Guitar Hero III.

Lol, I transferred mario kart wii data to and from my wii.

one time, i moved sava data from my wii to my sd card and some of it got lost. can you chose to save game data to an sd card?
I believe a few games have had the option of saving directly to the SD card or loading data from it, but generally it's just the HD.
