That's not real bad news, because Gears of War 2 and Resistance Fall of Man 2 will make gamers on the 360, PS3, and PC (for Gears) very happy.
If you look around the internet a little more, you'll find people saying that Sony wasn't real hip on pinning two FPS (kill zone 2 and RFOM 2) against each other, so I doubt it has anything to do with what Microsoft is going to offer for their console or PC.
If anything, dumping Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 on Gears would've been a great idea. They weren't worried about Gears 2, they want to make Killzone 2 better than Killzone 1.
I saw a pre-alpha build gameplay earlier today and it was looking really good. what I really like dabout it was the gun animation, and when you reloaded the gun the point of focus shifted to make part of the gun out of focus and the other part in focus. itlooked really cool.. ill try to find the video hold on. i think it was on gamersyde.com or something like that
but whenver it DOES come out im definately going to rent it before thinking about buying it, just because killzone was just too 'average', if killzone 2 is the same I dont want to be stuck with a $60 average game
Yeah, I agree that they want to space them out a bit instead of having both games in the same genre competing with each other. It makes sense to me and I'm not upset about the delay. I have too many other games coming earlier that will keep me busy.
I think it would be hilarious if all these FPS games were dwarfed by a little title called LittleBigPlanet
