Activision has announced that two new Tony Hawk games are currently in development which will bring some much needed innovation to the series. According to CEO Mike Griffith, "for competitive reasons we're not going to talk about it today but we're very bullish on the kind of innovation this will bring, and this won't be your father's Tony Hawk."
The first title is set to debut exclusively on the Nintendo DS this year and promises to bring 'new technologies not seen on the DS'. No word exactly on how they plan to deliver on these high stakes or even any screens or footage to back up these claims. I supposed we'll just have to take their word for it.
One question remains: competitive reasons? Who else makes skateboarding games besides Activision?
