What was the first console you ever owned? My parents had an Atari when we were little, but the first official console they gave me as a child, was a Sega Genesis when I was nine, and since this forum is about Nintendo consoles, I'll add, I got an N64 when I was 16. I never actually owned NES or SNES, though I have emulators and stuff now for the old skool games.
How about you?
i vaguely remember my family had pong
my first console was an Atari 2600...good times
Gameboy Color, it would have been an NES, but I moved to an island in the Carribean that doesn't sell games, and I had to take a boat to another island to get any games.
My dad sent me a GBC and PKM Yellow FTW
I moved to an island in the Carribean
did you get deported from canada for all the raping
Naw, my mom got a job as a teacher. Most 6 year olds don't rape people.
You tried though.
I don't remember if I'd gotten my Gameboy Color or PlayStation first. I think it was the Gameboy.
My brothers had a NES, but that was before I was born.
The first console I ever played (and my family owned) was the N64, so I was technically born into the 3D gaming era.
Woot?

I was going to quote that for a different reason, an NES? When did N become a vowel. Enough whiney bitching about grammar and onto games!

Actually, the rule is, you use "an" when the first sound made by the next word is the equivalent of a vowel. Sets of initials usually fall into this category. For instance if you had a friend who was a doctor, you'd say "He's an M.D.", not "He's a M.D."

This thread is too advertisey for my tastes.

N64 FTW!
I got an NES at the age of 5. You guys and your N64s as first consoles make me feel old...just turning 20 isn't helping...
I've been REALLY gaming for 15 years now, though apparently when I was 2 until I was old enough to notice, my dad used to put me at arcade machines where I would just press buttons and THINK I was playing while the demo screens ran--my dad didn't want to waste quarters, cheap bastard

NES, but it was my dad's and mine.
Well, my brothers SNES was practicaly mine anyways but in truth my GC was first... goooood times
