Following an eruption of Banjo Kazooie 3 screenshots hemorrhaging early and messily all over the internet's white shoes, a Rare spokesperson is urging game fans not to pre-judge before the full details come out.
"Reading some of the comments, it's nice to see that people think the game is quite pretty, but its definitely not a racer, which is what some people think it is," community liaison George Kelion told Kotaku. "You're better off waiting until tomorrow, when we reveal what is for us the most spectacular feature of the game, which is the gameplay mechanic."

sounds like theyre gonna debut the "x-mote" tomorrow.
DAMN
too bad they were leaked.. ive been waiting PATIENTLY for tomorrow to come so a day early is not as fun
BUT im kinda skeptical on wtf is up with all those weird vehicles.. but i'm pretty sure that the plot is about 'his house being developed for a shopping mall' or whatever based on the screens.
nvm
well I just read that the title of the game is going to be called "Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts" from the leaked Game informer issue as well..
Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts (360)
- RARE says they didn't want to make a hi res version of the old Banjo platformer.
- You create vehicles with parts you find around the levels.
- GI says their first vehicles was a 4 wheeled kart with a spring attached to the bottom that allowed them to jump things. They later found a helicopter blade that allowed their kart to fly. Later they added balloons to the vehicle and put the blade on the back and created a hovercraft.
- RARE showed them a vehicle that was a monster truck that was able to detach its chasis to become a mini bike. When the bike ramped off a cliff it revealed collapsible glider wings and started flying.
- There will be 1,600 parts including weapons that you'll be able to attach to the vehicles.
- The town is called Showdown Town.
- GI says that despite the large focus on vehicles it still features platform elements from the previous games like traditional platforming, tight rope walking and jiggy piece collecting.
- Showdown Town is 16 times larger than anything RARE has created before.
- Every level has a different intro. Nutty Acres begins with a credits spoof of 80's soap opera's like Dallas.
- Note collecting is back and will act has currency that'll allow you to bu vehicle blueprints.
- RARE says there are 15 different challenges spread across 6 different levels. There will also be side missions.
I REALLY hope it doens't turn out to be a Super Mario Sunshine type game..
im really curious about the vehicle creation. sorta reminds me of that really old star wars PC game where you could create a robot based on a bunch of parts and the goal was basically to get passed a level while meeting a certain robot-building criteria. each level was different and you always had to modify your robot.
cant wait for tomorrows official announcement.
=/ damn trailer fool'd ,e
I know we've known about the game's style for a while now, but every time I look at screenshots and see Banjo I feel like I want to vomit.
...Banjo's character design still looks terrible. I was hoping that would change between the announcement and some sort of official unveiling of the game.
Hopefully the game should play better than he looks.

i felt the same way when i first saw the teaser in 2006, but now the new looks has kinda grown onto me and i dont really mind how he looks anymore
when this game releases im taking a step back into my childhood
It just doesnt have the charm that the 64 versions of Banjo-Kazooie had.

yeah, I know what you mean BrawlMario. When I looked at the first footage, my first thought was that it wasn't like the old versions. Oh well, I still have them handy

Lol. Yeah. Especially when the Trailer had Banjo decapitate a Nes version of Mario. Wow way to lower your standards even more RARE.
Too early to tell how good this game will turn out.
Did they reveal the so-called x-mote thingo?
nah they didn't reveal or say anything about it, but my guess is that if they DO, it'll be at E3
I would have much prefered a true Banjo Kazooie sequal. The fact the solid platforming component has been largely cut back and replaced by using vehicles is not to my liking. : / I guess it could still be good, definately not what I was hoping for though.
You guys remember Shadow the Hedgehog? Animals + Vehicles = A bad game......In my opinion...
I just don't understand why they went 80% vehicle on this. I had the original and loved it...

because they wanted to take the platform genre in a different direction. I mean I loved 1 and 2, but you can only milk something so much before it runs dry (cough Pokemon).. so I guess they went with a different cow this time, we will only know if it was a good one as soon as we are able to test it out ourselves I guess.

By all means add vehicles into the gameplay, but to completely take out elements of the first two games that were loved by all sounds a bit absurd to me.
