"Do you love puppies and kittens? How about virtual puppies and kitties? If you do you, you might enjoy the new Eyepet game that's just been announced. Check it out in the video above.

"It's a virtual pet game that allows gamers to interact with their pet by utilizing the PlayStation Eye peripheral. If you put an object in front of the PS Eye, the pet will interact with it on screen. If you wave your fingers in front of the PS Eye, you can tickle your "loveable, simian-like pet." Eyepet is developed by SCEE and will be available in "late 2009" for PAL regions."

Interesting idea... Smile

This was so cute I had to go out and stomp on a little girl's turtle to feel manly again. Don't worry though, if I get caught I'll just blame Mario or Mario Party to be precise so we won't have to see any more games in that series.

Ok, joking aside this game has some pretty amazing tech stuff being shown off to me. If you can forget about the cute, dog cat chipmunk monkey-thing then you'll see it yourself.
I think this could really be amazing. This is taking Nintendogs and other games like it to a totally new level, and I can't imagine anyone enjoying those games not thinking this looks very cool.

Hopefully there will be all sorts of different pets to choose from, some of which aren't quite so cute...something like a baby dragon might be interesting.
I hope there's other pets to choose from, but surely if they had more then they would of shown them in that trailer?
This beats Ubisoft's dogz or catz. It looks pretty cool actually, tempting me to buy a PS3.
This looks amazing. Who cares about Nintendogs when you have a little virtual monkey thing? The technology seems amazing.
This would be so much cooler if it was a holigraph, but unfortunatly I doubt something like that would happen anythime soon.
I'm with Mana, I need to go wring a kitten's neck.

On topic: Wow, that's amazing tech. Pretty to look at, and innovative, but not something I'd buy.
Bravo anyway.
