In a chat we had today with Sony Computer Entertainment managing director Michael Ephraim, the Aussie PlayStation kingpin confirmed that the Metal Gear Solid 4 PS3 bundle will definitely be available in Australia.
The pack will go on sale close to or on the launch day of MGS 4, and will retail for $749.
Sony has confirmed that the version of the PS3 console to be included in the bundle will be the current 40 gig model.

is it the Gunmetal gray version?
Probably not. I think that's Japanese exclusive. But if it IS gunmetal (which I doubt) I'll die of joy.

if you want the gunmetal gray one lmx, why don't you just import it from Japan?
Even though I'd pay money to watch lm-x "die of joy" (kidding of course) I don't think that will be happening. I think he's right and the special color is only for Japan. I am happy to see other regions getting in on the MGS4 goodness with these bundles. I really hope this game is a blockbuster for the PS3.
It is. If the GTA4 PS3 bundle didn't move enough, then this will move further models.
Heck its guaranteed my PS3 purchase. I'm pre-ordering it next week.
I looked forward to putting you on my PSN list lm-x, and I'm glad that a quality game like this is gonna push more PS3 sales. It won't be on the scope of GTA IV, but it will be very high quality.
The sales of the game may not be higher. But the quality certainly will be.
well duh! It's Hideo Kojima. The man's a genius. Although perhaps he would've had more luck as a movie director than a game director (not that the metal gear games aren't genius)

I wish they'd give the rest of the world that gunmetal gray one. It has the slightest chance of me selling my current ps3 to get that one...
Perhaps at some point Japan will release it's stranglehold on the PS3 colors and let other people partake in the beauty that is White, Black, Silver, and Grey PS3.
I think Grey PS3 will be MGS4 exclusive. But I agree, the white and silver models need to be released elsewhere.
