Yeah the time I took to beat the final event was ages as well. Because I used Jiggs and 90% of the match was me floating around waiting for good items.

Bom-omb was the greatest, then I used that sleep thingy on Giga Bowser, Then Pokeballs.
I took care of Giga Bowser with Rest first. Then worked on the other two with items and the occasional hit and run.
first time i did it was with fox. i'd Up+B giga bowser in the head then when the % was high i'd KO him. aftger he was dead it was easy.
I almost beat it with Marth, Just countering like mad, but it was too slow >_<
once you get giga bowser out of the way, it's easy. mewtwo and ganon are like level 6 or something.
True, but they take the items =\
they only go after hammers, pokeballs, recovery items, and the invisible thing. you can stop them and get them first, or avoid them when they did the item.
