Down+A makes Link. The down thrust is devasting when applied to a game... all you have to do is remember to L-canel it and you have remoced the annoying lag which it suffers from, which therefore makes the attack even better.
I played my friend's Link last night. He beat me 5 of 8 matches I believe, two of my victories coming from Marth and one from Falco.
i dont mean the aerial, i meant the standing Down+A i use aerial quite alot, it is the best move link has, for power...

NEW POWER RANKINGS POSTED IN FIRST POST!
Comrades of Anfology - Final Entrouage ftw!
Its a Smash tourney being held in Melbourne Australia in January... I will be going of course and currnently we are getting Aussie Smashers to donate so we can get Ket over here for some friendlys.
Wait Ken is the American good person right.. is the best person as Roy going to be there?
NEO? Nah, he won't be. Ken stated he was interested in coming, and would pay half the way but was wondering if people would donate... so far I think we have about $200AU lined up... but we'll need to get more.
i dont think there are ANY "smash tourneys" here in south east england - i may be wrong but i haven't heard anything...
cool, thanks...
though only being 13, i doubt i will be interested in going to any tournies really at all...
Yeah but its nice to know they are out there. And from just going to them you gain invaluable experience.
we have a few tourneys down here in SE US of A but my parents wont take me because they dont want me to "be addicted to video games", blah, blah, blah
p.s. am I the only one who voted that the tiers dont affect me? I voted this because I can get good with just about any character, even if they're at the bottom of the tier, if i get about a weeks worth of practice with that one character
But still, would you match up to the others? The tiers are there as a guide, you play as a higher tier character then your winn % will go up. Play as a lower tier character and you can be good but generally people who play as higher ones will beat you.
the tiers just dont seem to affect me much. i know some luigi and link players who are very good, even though luigi and link are near the bottom tier. i just think that the bottom tier is the worst characters, but any tier above that is fair game.
Its true that in some circumstances that skills > tiers.
But the tiers are there to guide players. A pro Pichu GENERALLY won't do very well at tournaments but it is possible to win. But if say it came to a match with a Pro Marth then I'd say most of the Marth would win.
But outside of competitive play the tiers have no use.

that's because Pichu is on the bottom tier, and as i said, the bottom tier has all the crappy characters
Then the tiers = truth?
*nods*
The majority of good tourney winners tend to be characters like Fox, Falco, Marth, Peach... the higher up characters... others rarely make it. Unless being used by someone who is awesome with that character. ChuDat makes the Ice Climbers could, and NEO makes Roy good. If those two didn't play those two characters then they would fall down hte tier list.

as i said in an earlier post, only the lowest tier matters. the others ones dont influence me. but your comment about Neo and ChuDat is true. they would go down lower if they didnt use them as good as they do
Precisely, Roy is bottom tier material IMO. But there are a few good players keeping him up there, but as we see them slide we'll see Roy slide as well.
Tiers are constantly evolving... in fact I'm going to check if they have been updated lol.
