check out this article. it describes 3 different modes with the most interesting mode being the freestyle mode. it doesnt compare to GH's song creation, but i think it's cool that they didnt disable the already built-in feature of the 360 like GTA4 did.

basically, freestyle mode is where you just go nuts and goof off on the drums. if you check out the last vid in the article and fast forward midway, you'll notice the person load up a song in their HDD and portable device and starts playing along with it.

technically, GH:WT could do this too. it may not have it's own mode for it, but you could start up the studio mode(or whatever it's called), load up a song, and play along with it that way. it's also a good way to possibly make a near-accurate version of a song.
This is pretty cool! I'm gonna need this mode after knowing these songs'll be in RB2.

*cries*

*vomits*
Haha, man that's wicked! I'm really looking forward to this.

Now, the issue of...money. ;_;

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by this, but I'm assuming your crying and vomiting is from your body's inability to handle the awesomeness of those two songs. Right? RIGHT??

The crying and vomiting is coming from even the thought of me even trying to move my limbs fast enough to play these songs on expert drums.
Ooohh!! Good!! I thought you meant they were bad songs. Because Dream Theatre=Awesomesauce, and Judas Priest=The secret ingredient in Awesomesauce!

FYI, they are both amazing live.

lol. yeah, the intro to painkiller is ridiculous! i dont like that theyre adding such difficult, non-party-ish type of songs though.

Thats awesome, Yet i doubt I'd be any good at it. I'm kinda musically retarded.

What's wrong with non-party-ish songs? You don't have to play them when other people are around. I'm ECSTATIC that they're putting in such sweet, fast, hard metal! But maybe that's because I'm a metalhead... hell, Rob Halford (of Judas Priest, you infidels!) is in my sig Toungue

I do wonder though, some of these songs have double bass...how the hell do they expect us to play that? Unless they dumb the bass drum down on those songs. Or make some random assed announcement that the new drum kit has two bass pedals Toungue

i dont really have a problem with the songs themselves, but theyre not meant for a group/party atmosphere. also, a lot of the more difficult songs in RB2 have this GH3 vibe to them (geared towards the expert players).

you can add a second pedal to the RB2 kit. i have no idea where you'd buy another pedal locally if you didnt already have the RB1 kit.
