The release date for SSBB for Australia has finally been confirmed:

Australia, May 14, 2008 - After remaining frustratingly silent on the Australian Smash Bros. Brawl release for months, Nintendo has finally confirmed that the game will release on Wii locally on 26 June. That's just a little over a month - 42 sleeps to go.

chances are that everyone in Australia who really wanted brawl (glances at LMX) already got Freeloader and imported it. Wow Nintendo is really late on this one.
