As all my formal training in Photoshop previously had solely to do with actual photographs and using Photoshop tools to improve their appearance, I never really learned to cut and paste stuff together, so thats why I needed help with my banner. However, the whole thing got me to thinking that I should just learn it once and for all, 'cause I'm gonna need that skill big time! So I started messing around. Bear in mind this is for my Gamer Grrlz blog, hence all the chicas:
That's not bad, just keep practising and you will get the hang of it. I still have alot to learn with Photoshop I think I only know like a quater of the things to do with it, therefore I can't use it to it's full potential. Practise makes perfect, keep it up.

i would try that one again but look for a more balanced spread,
you could also try to adjust the different layers contrast and color, like you would on a photo, to try and balance the focus and color spread, alice in particular looks a little faded.

Yeah I have alot to learn about Photoshop too, I think it can be quite hard to get the hang of sometimes.

Yeah that Alice is just not goign to get any brighter. While on one hand I should even out the tones, on the other, I'd like to preserve their original look in the game
you could put lara croft under the floating chimp.
The space is full now and I am having a HELL of a time trying to find a suitable Lara Croft picture to use. Can't find a PNG either.
Update: Fixed that problem.
