Originally announced exclusively for the Japanese market, today Konami announced that they would be bringing the "highly limited edition" gunmetal gray bundle pack to North America.

The pack will include the Gunmetal Gray 40GB PS3, a copy of the Limited Edition of MGS4 and the gunmetal gray Dualshock 3. The price? $599.99. The pack will only be avaliable through the Konami website and pre-orders will be taken starting May 19, 2008.

It's good that Konami realized the want for this. I just wish that it was the 80GB PS3 instead of the 40GB PS3. Still good for those who wanted a different color PS3...cross your fingers for a European release.

IGN: MGS4 Gun Metal Gray Bundle

So essentially all you get for your extra $100 is a different colour, 40GB less hard drive space, and some fancy packaging for your Metal Gear game. I think I'll stick with the regular MGS4 80GB PS3 bundle.

Hey, the MGS4 bundle coming here is 40gig as well.. maybe that means we were getting it all along? Because we never heard of an 80gig PS3 MGS4 bundle...

That's the NA 80GB bundle.

Hmm... I'll have to ask about this.
