It has been well known that some game developers love to squeeze every little bit of cash from your poor wallets. Well, Activision might be taking this idea to a whole new level.
If you go over to IGN and take a peek at the Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero: World Tour, you’ll see a little blurb with an asterisk. It reads: "*Online gameplay is only available for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and Wii and may require an additional subscription."
Could this have something to do with Activision’s comment at GC 2008 about paying for the ability to upload more of your own custom tracks, or is Activision just going to be charging an annual fee? Right now nothing is known for sure, so this is still open for debate.

I don't think they will. They are probably referring to LIVE and that if you want to play Guitar Hero 4 online on your 360 then you'll need to have a LIVE subscription.
It's probably referring to the XB360 version, although if it is... this is a very vague way of IGN doing so, probably wouldn't hurt for them to look into it. I doubt many Wii owners would be happy with subscription fee for GH.
why would they say all three consoles if only the 360 requires additional fees for online...
And remember the "Pay & Play" on the Wii's cover? I think it may be true.
And if it is, I'm definitely not getting GH:WT.

that would probably be the last GH on ps3 and wii, cus who's gonna pay extra for it.
they will also try and take some of Microsofts live funds too, but if you gotta pay extra on live then i don't know anyone who'd buy into it
