While the Xbox 360 arcade is ironically the least expensive version of 360, The Arcade Station T2 is the probably the most expensive...and it actually belongs in an arcade. Essentially an arcade cabinet housing an Xbox 360, the Arcade Station T2 features two controllers, memory card slots and system link gaming (which we're assuming means local multiplayer, not full LIVE access). Potentially bundled games could include Halo 3, FIFA 08, Assassins Creed and Devil May Cry 4, but players won't need to shove in more quarters every time Master Chief gets teabagged. This will be a pay-for-time unit.
Currently in testing overseas, the officially licensed cabinet should be available in the coming months. And if it only ditched those controllers for a couple of high performance joysticks, we might just be tempted to score one for home use.

Aww how sweet of Microsoft to find a way to reach us even in the arcade and find just another way to drain our time and money. Aren't they the best?

since arcades are still alive and well in asia, i think this is a smart move. it could sway an undecided person to see what games the console has to offer and pick one up. i dont see this working in the states however since arcades are pretty much dead. the ones that are open are basically for the hardcore; they most likely know about the console and its games.
im not exactly sure what high performance arcade sticks are, but unless theyre able to somehow play FPS games, then i guess they should have gone with that.
the setup could also be ideal for lan parties...
I appreciate your insight Greaserlee, as Im just not on the up and up with the arcade, or the East, scene. You just don't see arcades very much nowadays. Since the XBOX seems to be gaining popularity in Japan, this could be a monumental move in ensuring a wider audience for XBOX and securing its future with a bigger fan base.
I agree, this could be an incredibly good move for Microsoft over in the East. While I have noticed that there really aren't any arcades any more. And the ones that are around, are never very busy.
But when I first read the title to this I was SO confused. XD
lol good, you were confused, so you clicked. Got your attention some how! lol listen to me, the evil blogger over here talking about how to get more headline clicks...i sound diabolical
