Disaster: Day of Crisis was first shown at 2006's Tokyo Games Show, but overtime, the action-packed natural disaster game faded into complete darkness. Now, over two years later, Nintendo has finally given us a date. Disaster: Day of Crisis will be released, across Europe, on October 24!

"Earthquake, tsunami, volcanic eruption, flood, hurricane… and the small matter of an ex-military terrorist group with their hands on some nuclear weapons - and all in just 24 hours?! Welcome to Disaster: Day of Crisis, the action adventure game on Wii from Nintendo and Monolith Soft., sweeping across Europe on 24th October 2008 guaranteed to bring out the survival skills in everyone."

If you're hungry to see more, then get looking through these screenshots, there's around 70 of them in total. So, who's planning on picking this game up? Who's not interested? Share your opinion below!

I hope I'm wrong, but I find it ominous that less than 2 months before release, we still know almost nothing about this game. The concept is certainly interesting, but that doesn't count for much until we learn more about gameplay. Also, I'm not sure if those screenshots are representative of what the final game will actually appear like, but they look horrendous.
This always looked like something that appealed to me, I think I'll definitely pick 'er up.
I can't wait. I really hope this is good. Hopefully other release dates will be established shortly.
This game was exciting back when I first bought a Wii, but so much time has passed since then, and between then and now, the game has disappeared, said to have been canceled, and now it's back. I'm afraid people will be disappointed when this title is finally released.
The screen shot you've displayed makes it look interesting, to say the least.
Europe....

Yay?
I was also in the school of thought that believed this game was meant to feature some good Wii visuals, but if those shots represent the final build then they certainly haven't followed through with that claim. So I guess all we can hope for is that they have a decent single player section with good gameplay.

Either way, I'll rent it when it comes out to see how good it is.
Europe, why Europe? When's it out in NA?
I'm starting to hate myself for the way I think but I can't help but think how this game would've looked on the 360 or PS3... I was pretty excited about it when I only had the Wii but it just took so long and then disappeared and we didn't know if it was ever going to come out or not.
I wish they'd release more. Trailers, previews, hands-on with major publications. That would get people excited about it again (assuming the game is any good).
Yeah, bad sign when they drop a game with lots of early hype but nothing prior to release. Unless reviews are glowing, I'd rent it at best.
Finally, after we all thought this game had faded into the darkness, it's good to see it's risen from the dead with a release date. End of October; not too far away either. Smile
