anybody ever use them on a mission?
i was listening to a podcast and they were talking about how restrictive the game actually is especially on missions, and more specifically how you cant insta-kill key people to force you into some chase scene. it didnt really bother me until later in the game when some of the missions just werent fun and you wanted to finish it quickly.
something i wanted to try is killing the main people with a rocket launcher, but my accuracy is terrible, so i went with the C4. i used it in the mission where you fish out a chinese restaurant owner. first time i tried it, i put the C4 on my car and parked it next to the enemy's car. when i chased him out, my car was gone... that was another gripe in the podcast. they tried to block in a specific car or create some elaborate trap prior to starting the mission, but it would all disappear.
so i fail the mission on purpose, and put the C4 directly on the enemy's car. to my surprise, it worked! it was the most satisfying accomplishment ever. the thing that sucks is that it took me a really long time to gain packie's respect. by then, all the missions i wanted to try this with were gone.
btw, i did this on my second play-through. unless, through your first play-through, you were killed in one of the missions, you wouldnt know what to expect and how to counter it.
