So the Best Buy I work at just put out the little things to preorder both RB 2 and GH:WT and it got me thinking, realizing they're so close now, what should I do instrument wise?

First off, I don't really know what compatibility is going to be like, so I guess I need to know that. RB2 compatible with GH:WT? Vice versa? Also, will the new GH guitars be compatible with GH II and III and the original RB? (I hate the RB guitars...)

Living room space aside, is it worth just getting both sets of instruments? I plan on selling my old RB drum kit either way as the new tweaked RB2 kit looks nice.

If none of this makes sense, let me phrase it this way: If you were me, and money and space weren't an issue, what would you do assuming you were to get both RB2 and GH:WT? I have GH II and III, as well as RB. I have 2 GH III guitars, a RB guitar, and a RB drum kit and mic.

I'm pretty sure this, despite it not having Rock Band "2" on there, is effective.

Aha! Although I'm not too sure what's up with Joystiq. The RB guitar works fine with GH Aerosmith and GHIII.

how about, if I WERE trying to consolidate--have as few instruments as possible, but have the best ones with the most functionality?

i'd go with GH's kit. RB's kit sells the cymbals separate.

RB's instruments are going to be all compatible with GH, and I think Activision came out to say they're going to have there's compatible with RB's as well.

That being said the instruments in GH look MUCH better then the ones in RB. I HATE the RB guitars, so personally I'm going to get the GH Kit and just buy the RB disc (I have RB anyways). So you're kinda in my position. I say go with the GH Kit, buy the RB disc, and if you REALLY want to, sell your RB drum kit and get the ion kit, or just another GH kit.
