Can't get into the sold-out BlizzCon in October, but still want to know and see all the juicy stuff? Seems Blizzard's paired up with DirecTV to get you 16 hours of coverage (and a treat for WoW users) delivered directly to your house.

Games they plan to talk about at the con:
-Diablo III
-Starcraft II
-WoW

plus your typical convention stuff, like tournaments and developer panels.

What you'll see if you ordered the program:

Blizzard Wrote:
# Over 16 hours of crystal-clear high-definition coverage

# Exclusive interviews and commentary

# Main stage presentations including opening ceremony

# Select panels featuring Blizzard Entertainment developers

# Tournament coverage and team highlights

# BlizzCon 2008 World of Warcraft in-game polar bear mount with mounted, flag-waving murloc

Not something i'd be interested in, but i do get the feeling this won't be the only Con to be put on PPV. If this gets a big turnout, i feel like other conventions may follow suit and televise (for a price, sadly) their event to get more of their audience...even though they aren't as big as E3, they all (usually) give out a nice chunk of information, and they'd be able to give it right to the gamers instead of making them wait for word from convention attendees.

Move to PC?
Also, I think this was posted already, though it may have been lost in the server crash meltdown thing.
as far as i knew, it was new news.

if it's already been posted, then lock. but for those who didn't know and are big WoW/Blizzard enthusiasts, I figured i'd share the knowledge.
screw Blizzard
i tried to get into WoW but that stupid game is setup to take more time traveling than anything. Good marketing scheme since it's a pay service but who wants to spend 30 minutes of a 1 hr play session riding around on a bird?
