*MASSIVE EDIT* It has come to my attention that my initial source over at IGN missed a huge part of this story--to be included in addition to "Parabola" and "Vicarious" is arguably Tools most well known song, "Schism" also from the album 'Lateralus.' To coincide with this new information, I've added the video of "Schism" to the end of this article

The day we've all been waiting for has finally come! At least for me, that is. One of the most musically complex and intelligent bands in modern music, who's music can only be classified as psychedelic-jam-metal, Tool, has been announced to be contributing two songs for Activision's upcoming multi-instrumented edition of Guitar Hero. The two songs chosen are "Parabola" from the album Lateralus and "Vicarious" from the album 10,000 Days. The game will also feature an all new venue designed with Tool which will be based upon their unique art style.

Also announced to be included in Guitar Hero: World Tour is the Police track "Demolition Man" and Sting, the lead singer and bassist of the band will be a playable character. But who cares when there's Tool on the way?!!

And now for your enjoyment, the official videos of Tool's two songs! While both songs have extended intros that likely won't be in game, I highly suggest you watch the videos in their entirety in order to view the pure awesome of which they are made.

Parabola (Note: The video includes an extended intro as well as the track Parabol which acts as an intro on the album. Parabola starts at about 4:05, after the weird people finish the black vomit circle thing...)

Vicarious (Note: Also contains extended intro, studio track begins at about 0:54)

NEWLY ADDED: Schism (Once again, containing a 30 second intro Smile )

It seems like that leaked setlist that was "incorrect" is apparently in-not-correct. (Erm. Yeah!) Activision apparently wants us to swim through this as long as possible. There's no reason not to just release it. :l

Probably because, well, you know-- TOOL IS AWESOME

I was hoping for an actual reason that would justify having three songs from one band. Should be one song with the other two DLC. This would be like having three Muse songs in the setlist.

and i bet you wouldnt be questioning it if it were true.

I would be actually. Three songs from one band just seems to be crowding the list, unless they are starting to run out of songs from other bands to cram into it.
