Has anyone had this problem, my ps3 just stopped reading all disks, it's as if the drive just isn't spinning up.

Well I can't really help, but good luck in getting this sorted.

Maybe theres some dust in it? Just a suggestion.

Since I have not had this issue and know of no one else who's had the issue, I'd suggest you good the problem to find a solution.

I'm glad that Sony will take care of the issue for you. They could have been total dicks about it and denied there was even a problem, and made you eat the issue yourself. I'm glad to see this problem seems to be very isolated. Good job with your google search.

i hope sony will take care of it, the only reason i got a ps3 is for lbp, they better fix it quick like

you cant send the console without the HDD?

Dude, just back up your HD onto an external or something. There's a backup utility on the PS3 that's REALLY easy to use.

Yeah, it's easy to backup as HNB mentioned. Just back up everything and then put it back after they send it to you when they finish.
