HD video will be, at best, 1080p. 1080p = 1080x1920 = 2,073,600
That's 2.073 Megapixel.
My camera takes pictures at 3264x2448 = 7,990,272
Which is 7.99 Megapixel (Practically 8)
Since the primary function of your camera is an HD Video recorder, I doubt the CCD is able to take pictures higher than the required resolution

alright, i'll make a new thread for each photo challenge.
if youre still interested, just post in here, so i know how many people are participating. that way, i can wait until everyone has posted their shots and i can make another one. kinda like a, 'leave no photographer behind" sorta thing.
It would of been awesome to take part in this, but my sister has just gone to university and took her camera (that I usually use) with her.
