More apple branded spyware.
I shouldn't have upgrade, but atleast i can disable it.

Yep... Apple isn't the "little guy". They are monopolistic too (even more so than MS). They just were not as successful as MS. I had to upgrade because they are giving away a bunch of TV shows as part of their HD promotion. I know Heroes, Monk, Psych, etc all had one free show.
I have to say, I do like the genius feature, and although it IS spyware, I do actually use the iTunes store, so it's quite a useful tool for me. Since I use Last.FM's scrobbler, I've not really got much concern about what they know about my music collection.
And I'd say double-click is worse, they don't give you the option to disable it, you have to install third party applications to prevent it from spying on you.
On one hand, its a great addition if you're looking for new music.
On the other hand, its greedy of them to do so and the obvious nature of said greed is irritating to me.
Also, you can find much better music, and for free, by listening to Pandora, where that "genius" concept kinda comes from.
I actually used it last night and it's pretty cool. I made a couple of playlists with it and it was nice being surprised by what songs were in it.
