From the moment I read about it in the September issue of Nintendo Power, I knew I had to get this game. NHL 06 was the last hockey game for Nintendo Systems, so I couldn't wait unhitl ht eday that hockey returned to Nintendo. After playing it at Wiiwillrockyou's house, I had a lot of fun, but the game was lacking a little in the graphics department. Also, there is a strange glitch in the game where the announcers sometimes call a player by another player's name, even if they are on different teams! Otherwise, it's an awesome game, with many modes to keep you occupied. I can talk about anything hockey for hours at a time, but I want to know what you think. Go ahead! Post away!
Unfortunately, the 2K hockey games can't hold the EA series' jock anymore. I find it quite bewildering that EA Sports hasn't brought their NHL games to the Wii yet (even though I would still play it on the 360). They've mastered it on the other consoles so it would be interesting to see what they could do with the Wii.
Oh, and Oilers FTW.
You're right about that. I thought that EA would make the first NHL game for the Wii, but it was 2K sports that picked it up.
Oh yeah, way to take Jason Strudwick from his beloved Rangers. We'll settle this during the regular season.
*WWRY beats the Flyers*
Announcer: The Bruins... Suffer a loss to the Devils.
Even though the announcer needs his mind checked (Da nunt tsh (drum noise signaling a pun)), it's still a great game. The fighting isn't the greatest, but I'm getting used to it. I'll take it.
