Anyone picking this remastered gem up?

Personally, I might just pass. I understand that they are trying to please fans [the old school hardcore in particular,] and I am a big fan [not too hardcore] but I loved Megaman 6. It had the slide+dash with the buster blaster.

Megaman 9 sadly does not. =[

i might get it, i might not.. Im on the fence.
I've never played a MegaMan game, so MegaMan 9 will be my first.

I'm definitely going to give it a try.
Meh. I expect an experience better then MM2. It won't happen D=
I'm still unsure, still wishing they went with MegaManX style not NES style.
My history with MM games are as follows in chronological order:

MM1
MM2
Mega Man 64 [whoa big time skip there]
MMX
MMX3
MMZX

yeah pretty bouncy... so a watched a few videos and info regarding the MM durign the NES and SNES days MM3-8. Apparently, regarding to super hardcore fans.. MM8 was horrible and boring. MM3-4 were innovative and brough power sliding and the charged buster.

MM9 will be pretty much like MM1-2.... and idk how i really feel about that. I dont care about the visuals.. because they rock. I just dont like how stripped down its going to feel.
ive played MM1-6 and MMX1&2, and a little bit of MMZX.

im definitely getting MM9.
I always found MM games frustrating. Probably played III the most. Work your ass off just to get to a semi-retardedly difficult final level.

At least that's been my memories of the series from childhood.
So I'm interested in getting MM9. I've never played a MM game previously. Is there anything I should be wary of besides it being eff-all hard?
I downloaded the original Mega Man a while ago, and as soon as I buy another wii points card, I'm gonna buy MM9.
So after some quiet debate, I said "screw it", put one third of my credit card onto the Wii, and bought the game.

I've had, like, five minutes with the thing, and it's constantly kicking my ass.

But I love it. I can't wait to get some more play time with it some more tonight.

I downloaded the demo on PSN. It didn't take long to bring all those feelings back. The first time I died and had to start at the beginning of the stage I just about lost it.

I'll go back to the Mega Man Collection on GC if I get the itch to play the series and pass on 9. I thought they did a great job in creating MM9 though. It is total fan service for the NES series, and I'd love to see Nintendo follow suit with the Mario, Metroid, Zelda and Punchout series.

Super Mario Bros. 4 anyone? =P

I personally found mega man not interesting...MM was basicly the same as Metroid, Samus would DESTROY Mega Man!
Samus does destroy MegaMan.
Samus did destroy MegaMan.
i wonder how many of those sales were in the jap market
On October 6 for NA the Proto Man DLC will be available for 200 Wii Points. Proto Man will up the difficulty level because he takes twice the damage of Mega Man and E & M tanks won't be available to buy.
