Nintendo's still remaining coy on its answer to the issue of storage on Wii, but it's been discovered that it already has some sort of tech - likely a USB hard drive - employed in at least one of its Starlight Foundation Wii 'Fun Centers' in the US.

As the video above was shot at a hospital, and as you can see, this device boasts 20 games - all accessible through the slick interface and at the hit of a button. The individual who found this inspected the inside of the unit to find one USB port occupied. Interesting!

Thoughts? Rage? Why don't we have access to this. Jerks. Is it a HDD? Or is it some sort of pointless multi-disc changing device?

It's very likely a HDD, but probably not meant for retail distribution.
Well if it is a HDD, Nintendo should stop being ***** and release it to the public.
Dammit, Nintendo. I want a storage device, too. (Although, to me, it seems like a disc-changer.)

Other than that, the interface is nice, but eww. :u
Thing is, if that baby IS a disc changer... how many discs can it freaking hold? I want one!!
They wouldn't have the disk changer connected to USB.

it's going to at the very least be an external HDD with a bunch of ISO images of the games.
The wii will simply have a special firmware for the external HDD and weird interface.
Only moms and sick kids, sorry guys. If you're a gamer then it's a secret that we're not meant to know.
I was sick for a while and didn't have this, well the Wii wasn't yet but still d: It's a nice prototype and good for sick kids who are in hospitals for months to have some sort of entertainment, but it would hurt if we it too..
