The Blue Bomber’s highly anticipated return took WiiWare by storm yesterday.
VGChartz is reporting Mega Man 9 has sold 60,000 downloads in its first day on WiiWare, surpassing the lifetime sales totals of all but six WiiWare titles. In one day.
Even Strongbad’s first WiiWare title sold less than Mega Man 9 did, even though it has been out for about a month. This figure was calculated, according to VGChartz.
VGChartz says that they came to this enourmus number by using Wii Shop Channel rankings from North American Wii markets alongside historical sales data calculated from Nintendo Channel usage data.
What does this all mean? Mega Man 10 is obviously coming.
