Nintendo has announced DS-i. Will be smaller and lose GBA slot at the bottom.
Has a camera and built in Web browser. SD card compatible. Can transfer pictures from Wii Photo Channel

IGN Wrote:
The DSi is 3.25 inches. Features a built-in three-megapixel camera (and you'll be able to edit pictures using the touch-screen). MP3-playback functionality (and you'll be able to change the pitch and playback speed of MP3s with the touch-screen). There's an SD memory card slot. Meanwhile, you'll be able to buy and download games to internal memory using "Nintendo Points."

Has access to a DSi store where there are categories: Free, 200 Points, 500 points and Premium (800 points). Free 1,000 points till March 2010 (upon first connection to shop)
All those DS kiosks are going to be updated so they allow connection to the DSi store.
Goes on sale November 1 for 18900 yen ($180). This is Japan only.
BOTH SCREENS ARE TOUCH COMPATIBLE!

IGN Wrote:
They are introducing Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time, a game that is playable on both Wii and DS -- similar, we suppose, to a title like Four Swords.

Dragon Quest IX. First new images. Comes out for DS March 2009.

Now talking specifically about Wii software.

To address the lack of Wii system memory, you can now download software directly to the SD memory card. Finally! It will also be possible to easily move things from SD card to the Wii memory. That will start spring 2009.

To increase the ratio of Internet-connected Wiis in Japan, Nintendo is making available a three-minute demo movie with the machine, called "What's Possible With Wii." A specific Wi-Fi adapter will be sold -- we presume a Nintendo-made device.

Nintendo will also offer a referral bonus. People who get others to sign up get 500 bonus points.

Now showing Animal Crossing: City Folk presentation. Can utilize data from the DS version. Miis are also supported.

There'll be a version in Japan bundled with Wii Speak. 11/20 for 7,800 yen.

Chatting about Wii Sports Resort. Will come bundled with WiiMotion+.
New series of games called "Let's Tap". Re-releases of Gamecube games adapted with Wii Controls.
PUNCH OUT WII ANNOUNCED!!!
Sequel to the N64 cult hit Sin & Punishment announced.
Another Code (the DS game Trace Memory) announced for Wii.
New game in the Tales series coming. Video of Monster Hunter 3 being shown.
Miyamoto takes the stage to talk a little bit about Wii Music.
Wii game Montage
And that's about it! The Nintendo Fall Conference in Japan is over. Tomorrow is the NoA conference. Hopefully we'll get some info on the release of the DS-i and all the other cools stuff they announced at the Japanese conference.

Interesting.. weird that they got rid of the GBA slot though since some games need it (GH:world tour)
loosk liek those rumours were ture.

best thing to happen to Nintendo since the Wii. I was just talking to my little bro and I was like, DUDE ITS HAS A CAMERA. I DONT EVEN FREAKING NEED A CAMERA. BUT THATS SO DAMN COOL!
again magificent.
Buying it. Buying it. Buying it. Buying it.
*ehem, smug face, for tellin ya all this was coming ages ago Toungue*

but on a more serious note, i can't see any reason at all to buy this,
although this should have more memmory, or can probably use the sd cards to hold some kind of page file, because the gba socket was used for the browser memory expantion.

I'm getting real sick of ninty bringing out hard ware for 2 years then doing something like this, they are beggining to look like money hungry b*£"*$£d's why not just save these' modifications and release the DS2 in another 2 years.

Which should have increased hardware spec, better vidio playback, beable to run more powerful games, not just the same old ds games. this is getting reallly rediculous, why the hell would anyone want a camera on the DS.
I'm getting it for DSiWare potential. And for plain sexiness. My current DS has dead pixels anyway.
Awesome. I need a new DS anyway.

I wonder if it'll be released in Europe this year...
I assume we'll learn the US release date at the US conference. And then I'll import one. I assume they'll still be region free.
ZOMG! Punch Out and Sin & Punishment!!! And the new DS is sexy but I'm still happy with the one I've got.

The Wii game montage actually looked pretty cool. There was some stuff in there I hadn't seen or heard about before.

Overall, I'd say this made up for their E3 blunder, and I'm sure there will be one or two more new announcements at the NOA one.

Good idea. I'll probably do the same.

Can someone portal this (if it's not already)?

I'll probably buy it. Too tempting!
Camera = picture related game, i already thought of a few casual picture games that woudl require use of the camera

but msokey you do have a point but look how excited we all are, its obviously working.
PORTAL NOW

EDIT
http://kotaku.com/5057889/first-look-at-...-in-action

in action, ok not really but a video montage of wahts to come.. lets say you got a little bit of NEW MARIO RPG and little bit of KINDGOM HEARTS and some other cool stuff.

and some lame stuff.

PUNCH OUT WII ANNOUNCED!!!

2 things:
1. Holy balls it's about god damn time they make a new punchout, and hopeuflly they make full use of WM+ it make it kick all kinds of butt. I for one am in favor of a 2-wiimote option to get optimum control or each fist.
2. Anyone else concerned that IGN's piece didn't mention anything about being able to play software off the memory card? As they have it worded now it sounds like it's just making trasferring easier, not enhancing the function of.

For the first timesince Mario Kart I'm excited for the Wii. Hooray!

Punch-Out? Where's Kid Icarus D:
With WM+ on the horizon, I hope they have a full fledged golf game to take advantage.  I've been waiting for a decent, simple and fun motion based golf game since Wii Sports Golf.
WOAHWOAHWOAHWOAH. This is pretty good but again, too late.

S&P xD
It is cool but I'm happy with my current DS Lite. Some of those unknown games in the Wii montage looked pretty cool.
i kinda wish 3 things
WHY THE **** WASN'T THIS E3 STUFF?!?!!!!!
and why just not make a completely new hendheld
no gba slot? that's a rip now what in the hell do i do with guitar hero?
besides that I'm getting this, its awesome!! good thing i didn't waste money on the lite!
