Is that series of (as my friend puts it) "chick novels" about vampires? If it is, I think my brother is reading the first one and likes it. I haven't actually picked it up but if anyone wants to recommend it I'll give it a shot.

I was under the impression it was a watered down version of Anne Rice.

Romance is a theme in the books, and a pretty big one. But hey, I absolutley have romance books, but I love this series. Mainly the fact because it is so well written, and because of vampires, which are sweet. Just give the first one a try, you have nothing to lose. I didn't have high hopes for it, and I thought it was a chick novel to, but I absolutly love it.
