Full Version: Nintendo Points won't be transferable between Wii and DSi

At Nintendo's recent media summit, the brand new DSi was revealed. We were also told that it would feature an online service similar to WiiWare. Now, to save consumers from getting confused, Nintendo have decided to change the name of Wii Points to Nintendo Points.

So if you happen to buy a Nintendo Points card, you'll be able to spend those points on either your Nintendo Wii, or DSi; but not both. This means you won't be able to shift any remaining points over to your hand-held (and vice versa). This may be disconcerting for some, but shouldn’t be that big of an issue. Just be informed, Wii Points are now Nintendo Points.

I suppose this isn't such a big thing, I'm not too bothered by it.
I if was planning on getting a DSi, this would have bothered me.
Now it's just another obstacle Nintendo set up for their consumers.
This is annoying. But I doubt there'll be much worth getting in terms of software for the DSi anyway.
Now I'll have an unusable 100 points on BOTH of them.

Seriously, Nintendo. >:l
Thats soooo damn retarted.

who do they have running marketing? a bunch of assses?!

XBL have points too, even though the unit per point to dollar is confusing you can still use those same points for both your ZUNE and XBLM

=/ get on the ball Nintendo.

Or at least stand near it. Damn.

Well, you may want to buy two cards, but hey, no biggy.
There better be good stuff on the DSi store...
I think this is pretty dumb. It's just a way to get people who own the Wii and the future DSi to purchase different cards for different systems and make Nintendo more money. You'd think at some point Nintendo would want to make things convenient for their consumer, but once again the all mighty buck rules.
