Bought a Samsung Syncmaster 932bw after my "cheap" proview with a very high quality picture went bad. (granted, I only had it for 18 months.

Last night, go to sams club, come home, dead pixel, combined with a fuzzy screen.

Today, I take it back, bam, fuzzy screen, two dead pxiels.

Samsung sucks, stay away.
Samsung do make crap LCDs. I've never seen so many dead pixels per PC monitor in my local internet café. They also have the 24" Syncmasters for gaming as well, which are surprisingly good. The cheap Syncmasters are awful.
all my monitors are samsung, and i've never had any dead pixels, my biggest gripe is that the screens smeared on my 32 inch, but i'm too lazy to get the stepladders out to clean it.

(oh i should say that i was the one who smeared it last time i 'cleaned' it Toungue)
My HDTV is a Samsung and it's been great from the get-go
actually the quality of samsungs products is only suppassed by that of living good,
I would actually rate sammy higher than sony with LG right at the top.

Maybe the issue you were having, sc, was that you shop as Sams club. do they look after there stock properly, last time i was in a sams club it all just looked like crap they couldn't sell in a full wallmart.

Everything seemed nice. It's a syncmaster, and the boxes were neatly stacked, and not damaged or anything.

I've bought a few LCD panels, my 42" Bravia, a 19" Viewsonic TV, my old 19" widescreen Proview monitor, and my even older 17" MAG LCD monitor. Never had a dead pixel.

Now two Samsungs in a row have 1 and 2 respectively.

I'm going to get my money back and perhaps get this 19" widescreen LG at Circuit City that's $150, as you suggest.

I have a 50" Samsung Plasma and it has been flawless so far. *knocks on wood* The colors are great (very deep black not dark gray color) and it looks good no matter if I'm watching a movie or gaming. I don't know about their LCDs though.
I have a Samsung LCD and Samsung HDTV and both are excellent
i had two 19" viewsonic crt monitors go bad on me. my samsung lcd hdtv is running without a hitch.

this recent 20" LG widescreen monitor i got has one bad pixel. i got it off of newegg, so i couldnt return it since their policy stated it had to have 'x' number of dead pixels for them to RMA it.
Got a 20" Dell a friend had new as a spare. Beautiful picture. No dead pixels.
